Linda Plaisted is a classically-trained painter,
photographer and mixed media artist who has
exhibited her work in galleries and museums
throughout North America. She considers herself
first and foremost a painter and approaches
any medium from camera to computer to
canvas artfully. Each piece she creates is
layered by hand with images she has
captured in her photographs, drawings,
paintings and collected ephemera. She has
been creating since she was old enough to
hold a crayon and has never lost the ability
that all children possess- to imagine more than
what meets the eye. She received her first
camera from her grandfather when she was
eight years old and went on to study fine art
and photography in art school, grad school
and beyond. Her work is held in corporate and
private collections worldwide.
