Painting on location, whether in Europe, the
Middle East, the Mediterranean, or on the
Northern California Mendocino Coast, Erin
Dertner's works emanate brilliance of color and
reflection of light that invites the art lover's eye
to move from point to point enjoying the
refreshing interplay of the vibrancy.
Erin's interiors are intimate with warm, romantic
detail and her exteriors complete with curtained
windows, detailed architecture and garden
splendor of contrasting shape, color and texture.
Erin began her art career at the age of 9, under
the tutelage of her designer and artist mother,
and later studied with Brommer, Betts, Hutchings,
Chase-Bien and Simandle. Erin is inspired by her
travels abroad and the Mendocino Coast
where she currently lives. Her works and talent
have been acknowledged by critics, collectors,
and the art community, and Erin has been the
recipient of numerous awards from show
competition. Her ability as a teacher has also
been recognized and she is currently on a
teaching appointment in Greece.
