Wendy Bentley began painting seriously
around
the young age of five years. She hasn’t stopped
since. Born in Lansing, Michigan, Wendy moved
to Cincinnati, Ohio in her tween years and
continued making art her hobby and excelling
in art classes. Wendy attended Bowling Green
State University, Ohio where she received her
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design.
Wendy’s signature use of bright colors and
whimsy adds a touch of cheer to her vibrant
designs. Whether she is painting murals for
schools and homes, sewing, throwing pottery,
sculpting or painting fun little vignettes, Wendy
enjoys working in a creative capacity. And
you can tell…her work makes you smile.
Wendy freelanced for many years before
joining Olika Studio four years ago. Olika is a
Cincinnati design and licensing firm that is
known for its creative and unique work. Olika
created the opportunity for Wendy to take
her love for art and share it in new and
exciting directions…painting icons and
patterns tying to different design genres
from traditional, to modern to novelty.
When Wendy isn’t squeezing her new baby
boy, Benjamin Chet, she’s squeezing in time
to create new painted, illustrated or
computer-generated art. Her art adapts
beautifully to an array of product types
such as home décor, tableware & stationery.
